Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

With the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak impacting our daily lives more and more in the coming weeks and months it’s important that we look out for and help each other.
The following link is to a Public Health England page, which has all the up to date information on the disease: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-guidance
Now we are self-isolating, if anyone has any concerns about being unable to obtain provisions please don’t hesitate to contact a Parish Councillor who maybe able to help, or direct you to someone who can.
If you are aware of a neighbour who you think may not use the internet/social media it might be useful to swap telephone numbers in case they need some assistance, or just to be able to check in with each other.
The Parish clerk will be posting frequent news updates CLICK HERE TO VIEW as soon as we have new information.
There is also a WhatsApp group which everyone is free to join. The purpose of the group is to provide a forum which can be used to communicate within the community to, amongst other things, ensure support for any individuals who fall ill and need a helping hand from the community.
To join the group, click this link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/Jcqr7iJUyLn2p1pThEM5oq
You will be able to see the members of the group. All postings are visible to all. Please use the forum courteously and for the purpose intended.

If you become unwell please let the group know, which will help the community and ensure that any help you may need is known about without delay.

If you require help due to self isolating when you’re not unwell, again consider letting the group know so that they help honour your isolation and assist you if needed e.g.: with shopping.

Notice about Parish Council Elections

You may have read in the news that all Local Elections scheduled for May 7th have been postponed until next year. This includes the forth coming parish council election.

This means that in due course we will be looking at the process of co-opting people onto the Parish Council as required. At our next meeting we will discuss what form this process takes.
