Gloucestershire moves into Tier 4

In light of the recent announcement from Government, we wanted to remind you of the guidelines that will be in place from 31 December 2020

In light of the recent announcement from the Health Secretary, we wanted to remind you of the restrictions that will be in place from 00:01 31 December 2020 in order to help reduce COVID cases in Gloucestershire. We need to do everything we can to keep our family, friends, and colleagues safe, as well as protecting the NHS.

Tier 4 restrictions

  • 1 in 3 people who have coronavirus have no symptoms and will be spreading it without realising it.
  • you cannot meet other people indoors, including over the New Year period, unless you live with them, or they are part of your support bubble. Outdoors, you can only meet one person from another household.
  • you should not travel unless it is essential. Do not travel between tiers, you should stay local and avoid travelling outside of your local area.
  • you must not leave or be outside of your home or garden except where you have a ‘reasonable excuse’. You may leave your home for food, education, medical assistance and for work - if you can not work from home. A full list of what you can and can't do in Tier 4 is available on the Government website.
  • businesses will have different rules in Tier 4 - more information is available online.

For an extensive list of restrictions please visit the COVID advice page on our website.

Your county needs you - please help spread the message, not the virus!

Please help us keep people across Gloucestershire safe and informed by following us on social media (InstagramFacebookTwitter) and sharing our updates with those that you are linked with.

We hope you are keeping well, and we look forward to a brighter 2021.
